Polycrystalline Diamond Cutters (PDC) consists of micron-sized synthetic diamond powders bonded together by sintering at high pressures and temperatures, produced on a cemented carbide substrate. The PDC has diamond’s high hardness and wear resistance, and carbide’s good cohesive strength and impact toughness.

Polycrystalline diamond cutters (PDC) comprise a diamond layer sintered onto a tungsten carbide substrate. A standard cylindrical PDC cutter has a flat diamond table, and a “Shaped Cutter” has a shaped diamond layer – conical, dome or other 3D geometries. Different grades and types are designed for different application, to provide the customers the most suitable PDC cutters with optimized balance point for abrasion, impact and thermal stability.
